Words alone, is usually a description of someone, but words together leads to a story….and this is mine! I know that so many authors have English degrees or have a great way of putting words together, that produce an awesome story. But, what about the rest of us? I only have a GED and a year of community college and realized it wasn’t for me. Going daily to a classroom and having to study subjects that I really had no interest for, just didn’t make sense to me. Being an introvert, being in a room with 30 plus students was overwhelming enough, not to mention, having assignments that I didn’t care for.
For those that completed college and put their degrees to good use, God bless you. Now, their’s online degrees, which is interesting, but nowadays, who has the money to do that? Not me. My solution to this was simple. I read and read, with a thesaurus by my side, pen and paper. What better way to learn, than by doing. Being self-taught and reading authors, together with interesting topics, is my way of learning. It’s the only thing I can afford and I think it’s working pretty well.
