It really is a sad epidemic to have this come to light, but who can deny it? No matter where in U.S we are, or anywhere in the world, for that matter, we can’t escape these senseless drivers. No matter how happy our days begin, all it takes, is one driver to ruin it. It’s a shame, no matter where we live, their is always THAT ONE DRIVER, that quickly changes our demeanor for the rest of the day, at least it does for me anyway. Driving used to be a critical part of my life, it was an enjoyment, but the constant driving from New England to New York and elsewhere, has proven to me, that no matter how calm we are behind the wheel, we will all have the temptation, at least a dozen times, of utter friction toward someone who has disrespected traffic laws. We’ve all seen the erratic drivers, swerving in and out of lanes, then why would they use their turn signal, if their erratic driving in the first place? It makes no sense to me and I know it does for you. If a driver, is intentionally driving like a moron, why the turn signal?
I sometimes laugh when I see a trooper facing traffic to see the speeds of drivers, but the erratic driver, most of the time, has them beat, for who can’t see a cop from a mile away? Not literally a mile, but you get my drift. I mean come on, an iphone had the feature of radar detection at one point, which I don’t think it’s no longer available, but the better the technology, the more ways of avoiding getting caught. Maybe, just maybe driving exams should come with a planned road rage scenario, to determine the reactions of the driver. Regardless, of who is in the vehicle, whenever anyone gets cut-off, disrespected or just annoyed behind-the-wheel, you are almost always, going to give off a reaction. For the most part, people can brush off an incident or two, but eventually, it’ll creep up on you, like a person who bottles up their anger. It’s going to show at one point. And usually, the sense of self goes out the window and it’s all out reckless driving.
We all become driving instructors at some point in our lives, and for most of us, take driving seriously because of the consequences we face for not obeying the law, but all it takes, is that one incident, that one wayward punk in the other car, to get your heart rate jacked to the maximum and all you want to do, is show him who’s the better driver. Police departments have DUI patrols and they work some of the time, well, why not make a division strictly for bad drivers! If their is one, they are not really doing their job effectively. Many drivers drive without a license or a suspended license and why, because of the lack of enforcement and penalties not being strict, as they should be.
