Ah Yes! The Days Before Typing

I remember when I had to write everything out. I had, and still have great penmanship. But typing is so much faster and I’ve pretty damn proficient at it also. Don’t get wrong, my cursive writing, is terrible, but my print is absolutely awesome. The only thing I can write cursive, is my signature and that’s usually a quick scribble scrabble and done. I keep a journal, but I use it for new words that I don’t know the meanings to. When I read a book, and come to a word that I don’t know, I’ll check my thesaurus, and write it out in my leather bound journal. It’s a great way of teaching myself how to become more proficient, not to mention build my vocabulary.

It’s always good to write, even little things because if hand-writing is giving way to the computer age, it won’t be long before it’s completely gone and just a memory.
